Having returned to a commercial-free broadcast… having returned to iTunes Internet Radio under “Alternative”… having resumed broadcast on TuneIn Radio… having updated our apps for iPhone, Android and Blackberry… we couldn’t be more ready for a busy broadcast weekend, bringing you the new, the deep cuts, the contours and outer edges of our particular idiom. Our impressively deep bench this weekend is thanks to some amazing artists: Japan’s The Florist, whose long-awaited new single released this week to much studio fanfare. The deep-water reverb of Glower, from I Am Your Captain (ex Air Formation), whose sparkly tones resemble nothing so much as glints of sunlight off the rolling sea. Deep cuts from The Stargazer Lilies new album, as they kick off their ‘uge national tour. The new single from Captions (which we’ve blathered on about here)… if you’ve not got this stuck in your brain pan by now, you will by weekend’s end. Brand new release from Whimsical we’ve waited for, so get used to that happening, often. New brilliance from Heavy Heart, Jay Som and Minor Victories. Plus we catch up with Movie Brain, White Tulips, Elisabeth Like A Dream, The Pink Elephants, Swellebound, maquinas, Introflirt and much more!

But our bench is far deeper than that, with Leave the Planet, VOW, No Joy, Vinyl Williams, Presents for Sally, 93millionmilesfromthesun, Pale Dian, Karma Shake, Sykoya, The Quality of Mercury, Mayflower Madame, Creation Myth, Teen Divorce, Soft Science, Daydream Cathedral, ФОНТАН… ah, hell. You know what we do. And we’ll do that all weekend.

New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Listen via the station page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our new branded apps for Apple’s iOS, Android and Blackberry. Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed: we’re live-scrobbling via our last.fm profile, and live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed.

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
