1. Live On Air Now DKFM Shoegaze Radio

Well of course we’re late. What with cross-country travel, several epic shows, and yesterday’s rollout of our new billboard (inorite?), we’re getting things done. Just a tad slower than usual. We’re still behind on submissions and some new music, but catching up. This weekend, we celebrate the release of the new album from Gingerlys, which has layers of charm and sparkle. We’re pushing the new Day Wave cover of Interpol, featuring Hazel English, which is everything you could hope for. New music from Pinkshinyultrablast, CAUCUS, Fauvely, No Vacation, Gleemer, Jessica 93, Loveblind, Tea Leigh & Luke Reed, The Veldt, On The Wane, Inspiraling, Dana, The Dayoffs, and choice cuts from two worthy compilations: TBTCI’s Wire Revisited comp, and Patetico Recordings’ Rock Back: Stronger Than the Storm compilation, with all proceeds benefitting victims of Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria. We’ve even got a Whimsical live cut from Kalamashoegazer that might even be more compelling than the studio version! And that’s just the new adds we can remember…

Not to neglect last weekend’s freshness, including Kindling, Cave Shine, Glaare, Heaters, Demur, Wind Along The Coast, Blush, Processions, Miners, Vansire, Curelight Wounds, Car Crash Sisters, Ghost Noise, Broken Little Sister, Cherry Coloured, Fragile Animals, Dim, Black Books, Silver Liz, Autumn (US) and so much more. Truly more songs than time.

New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOSAndroid and Blackberry: listeners can vote thumbs-up/thumbs-down on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

Just when we thought it would be a quiet(er) weekend, fewer new materials released… boom. Much new load-in, much new sparkle. We’re (unsurprisingly) heavily featuring Who Cares About Tomorrow, the new full album from Fawns of Love. We had the distinct pleasure of mastering the final product, and it shines like we knew it would. The new single from Ride beats back most new releases. Two new singles from Brisbane’s Babaganouj rock our socks off. No Vacation returns with a new single, and while personnel changes may have dulled the intensity, hasn’t impacted their tunefulness. New music from Daysee will bend your ears and your knees. New single from Slowly sparkles, as does the new album from Moscow’s Life on Venus. No clue how we’d missed new music from The Mites several weeks back, as we’ve been the ones pushing them for years now. Oversight corrected, we’ll remind you why they rock our pasty little souls. Brand new Delay Trees on deck, plus the epic new EP from 93MillionMilesFromTheSun, grabbed as soon as released. The first singles from the new Sleepwalk LP, Shimmer on tap. Bundled in two stellar tracks from The Wrecking Queens that demand your attention. Plus, we reach back generic flagyl 400 into the archive for some classics from Excuses for Skipping, taking a turn in our rotation. Full packed.

Let’s not forget last weekend’s freshness, including Whimsical, No Joy, Funeral Advantage, Kindling, VENN, King Woman, Froth, Novella, Jay Som, Violentene, Hexagrams, Glasz, Galaxina, Starwheel, The Age of Colored Lizards, Folder, and December Flowers. All of the songs, all of the now.
