Still recovering from last weekend’s epic Seagaze festival, but we’ve spent most of the week combing through all the impressive new submissions for New Tracks Weekend, and we’re packed. Obviously we’re pushing the new single from Ride, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. We’re deep into the new albums from Omega Vague, Todavía, Малыш Камю (Malish Kamu), Subsonic Eye and Afor Gashum, plus the new singles from the Cult of Lip (new album and video soon!), Crystales, Red Rosie, Xeresa, Dama Scout, Softer Still, plus the new split EP from station favorites Kindling and Kestrels (someone got the best “K” bands together and said, “hey, let’s do a split!”?), the new Psychic Quarry EP from SHEER, the new extended play from Sustains, and we catch up with Darkswoon and Malady of Sevendials, fresh from their Seagaze Festival performances.

Speaking of which, we’re still pushing the full LP from Fotoform, who put on a sparkly performance for Seagaze attendees. Plus we’re still heavy-dropping tracks from Bugjar (most buzzed track last weekend, hands down), DIV I DED, Northeastern Railroads, Flowerbomb, LLOLLYANNA, Static Daydream, The Infinite Seas, and The Investment. All of the newness.

New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOSAndroid and Blackberry. Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed: we’re live-scrobbling via our last.fm profile, and live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

Our cup overfloweth. Brand new music from Thud, and only a select few have access to it for airplay. Great band, great tune, great video, premiered on Sounds Better With Reverb. New sounds from Strange Relations, Turnip King, The Florist (we’ll go deep with the full album), The Indigo Palms, Big Deal, Boyfriend’s Dead, Did You Die, Foliage, Ghost Box Orchestra, Heavy Heart, Omega Vague, Porcelain Raft, Tonemirror, João Bispo and much more. So fresh, still a little green around the edges. Put us in your cart anyway.

That’s not to forget last week’s new additions, however. Kindling, Jay Som, Caterwall, Sunshine, Miss Mobile Home, Space Waves, The White Tulips, A Certain Smile, Lake Ruth, Future Theory, Babaganouj, Whimsical, Soccer Mommy, so so much new stuff.

Remember: you get to vote on these tracks via the DKFM app! Thumbs up / thumbs down in the app helps us to know what stays and what goes. You support the station, you shape the sound.

NEW TRACKS WEEKEND. We’re ready. We’re premiering the first two singles from Wray’s spectacular Hypatia LP, due in January. We’ll be pushing them for two months, so get used to the awesome. We’re also catching up with The Dagger Complex. New to us, and terribly embarrassed to have missed this. Making up for it now. Plus new music from South Carolina’s exquisitely textured Lightness, worth your attention. New earworms from Japan’s Ether Feels. The new album Uneasy, from staff favorites Sheer, now available from The Native Sound. You’ll finally get why we’ve been buzzing for months now. The shiny new single from Weekender, sure to tickle your soul, but deeply. New tunes from Did You Die, There’s Talk, Bruising, Parsec, Grivo, Lift, Darkly, Omega Vague, and Pankhabilli. Our copy of Ringo Deathstarr’s Pure Mood, not yet arrived. But we’ve got some lesser-known older material to help fill the bill while we wait.

But that’s not all! We’re still pushing The John Candy, Rolemodel, Lighthouse, Pine, Kindling, Brilliant Beast, Versing, Half, Bloom Waves, Lazy Legs, and a whole hella bunch more. Because that’s how we do.

It’s the one party where you’re always welcome.

This weekend we’re proud to prominently feature pre-release Strata Florida, from the upcoming Static Waves 3 compilation, due just over a week from now on Saint Marie Records. It’s a glittering jewel that melds her original Swallow colours with shadings from The Cure and Xmal Deutschland, yet remains fully original. Add to this the frenetic energy of Wozniak, the breezy textures of Omega Vague, the return of Mexico’s mighty Car Crash Sisters (proving what we were saying about them all along!), and brand new choice pre-release cuts from Aire Espacial (in our own backyard, no less). Not to be outdone, we’re happy to feature some back catalogue from Japan’s amazing Magic Love, some impressive remixes of Ummagma and Sounds of Sputnik, new Gazar Strips, Klozapin, Vladimir, Glintshake, Sloth Scamper and much, Much, MUCH more.

Flying by the seat of our pants here, as we’re simultaneously co-presenting Be Forest, Tennis System and Desario in Sacramento via LLW Presents and Record Club Sacramento. It’s a party, and probably our biggest event of the year. If you’re anywhere in the area, this is a show you won’t want to miss. We promise magic. And we don’t make that promise lightly.
