There is no letup. Impressive new music is coming fast and furious. As the weather turns warm, so do the tones. The new Pia Fraus single/EP is near release via Seksound label, with contributions from scene luminaries like Airiel and Mahogany, and it’s worth the wait. Following two electric performances on American network television, Tennis System dropped their new single early this morning, and it has all the volcanic energy you’ve come to expect from Matty & Co. We’ve got long-awaited new music from Oeil, Cigarettes After Sex, Schonwald, Slow Crush, Terry vs. Tori, Rat Columns, Girlpool, Eternal Something, Telyscopes, Aurora L’Orealis, IS BLISS, and so much more. As usual, more music than weekend!

Not to overlook last weekend’s gems, including Hazel English, Hoops, Say Sue Me, No Vacation, Season of Strangers, Watterson, Antipole, Tinfoil and Tape, The Age of Colored Lizards… we’re fully booked!

New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOSAndroid and Blackberry: listeners can vote thumbs-up/thumbs-down on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

Packing it all in at the last minute. So much breaking now, we’ll be making adjustments up to the last second. Headlining our weekend is Shanghai, China’s RUBUR, a fresh and confident take on a classic sound. We’re expecting great things. We’ve got the brand new singles from Landing, Tears Run Rings and Pia Fraus, all of which seem long-delayed, but hint of shiny things on the horizon. We’ve got a world premiere from Glace, timed for a Halloween Day release, with an X-Files cover (yes, you read that right!). Just-released music from Desario, Pastel Dream, Otoño, Jeremiah Foundation, Svelte, The History of Colour TV, Clan de Venus, Gentle Ivanhoe Death Skulls, Daydream Cathedral, Bruising, I Mean Us, shalloboi, Planet Rewind, Useless Cities, SJÖBLOM, The Owls Seem What They Are Not, War Waves, and we catch up with Acid Ghost, Suburban Living and Boytoy. We. Are. Packed.
