If you’re dealing with last-minute holiday chaos, take us with you. We’ll not only keep you company, we’ll entertain you with the freshest new tunes available. Kicking off with Muso Asia’s top LP for 2017, For Tracy Hyde has captured hearts worldwide for their full-length he(r)art album, and it’s a jewel. Not available on Bandcamp, you can find your own copy on your digital platform of choice. Other than Bandcamp. New dreamy pop from Melbourne’s VIM, sure to win you over. Plus we feature new music from Winter, Purepleaser, Shoe Shine Six, Reduction Plan, Bugjar, Wintermilk, Indoor Voices, Plaza, Wylderness, Flowers, Atem, LOYA, Soda Lilies, Starwheel, Schizo Fun Addict, and choice cuts from TBTCI’s tribute to Girl Groups. So much new.

That’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh adds, including Heligioland, Sway, Power Pyramid, Your Friends Polymers, The Daysleepers, Key Out, Lilac, Mind Monogram, Seafang, SPC ECO, Useless Cities, and Stella. Fully loaded.

New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOSAndroid and Blackberry: listeners can vote thumbs-up/thumbs-down on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

It’s Friday the 13th as we write this, yet we see it as a day to celebrate. For instance, who knew the new Slowdive single was in the pipeline, and released just yesterday? If you’re looking for something special about this new year, that’s sure to kick it off right. So of course we’re showcasing the new Slowdive single, “Star Roving”, but we’re also heavily into the new release from Great Black Night, which somehow got past our radar on initial release. Given the impressiveness of their sound, we’re making up for that miss at double speed. We’ve got hands on the new singles from Jay Som, Did You Die, Plaza, Singapore Sling, Fake Flowers, PURS, plus the new EP from rotation staples COLLAPSE, select tracks from TBTCI’s Red-Shoegaze compilation, dream jangle from Antiphons, grunge-inflected haze from 雨の中の馬, plus Purepleaser, Russia’s HORSEFISH, and we take a deep dive into the recent LP from Suburban Living.

We’ve packed all this material into a sprawling weekend’s programming, including last weekend’s treats from Lazy Legs, This Social Coil, Loners, Joel Gion (BJM), Sakawa Boys, Colour of Spring, SeiSui, Twin Studies, Sound and Fury, Raveonettes, and Féroces. Shiny winners all.
