1. Live On Air Now DKFM Shoegaze Radio

Overpacked again. We’re shoveling as much new music into a weekend as we can, and it’s a fully international effort. We’re long on three new LPs: Los Marcianos, Surf Curse, and Hariguem Zaboy. If we stopped there, good enough for government work. But that’s not us. We’ve got new music from Chilindra, Moth to the Flame, All in the Golden Afternoon, Bliss Wrecks, Visiting Diplomats, Orchin, Housing Crash, Battery Point, Vansire, Fawns of Love, Crumb, Exiles, Fazerdaze, and the station’s newest bandcrush, D.C.’s brilliantly textured Venn, brought to our attention by Amber and When The Sun Hits. Slip slide away with us, we’ve got you, and won’t let you crash.

But that’s not all! We’re still pushing LLLL, The Stargazer Lilies, Blonde Tongues, Andrew Younker, Dot Dash, Blue Bombay, Moon Loves Honey, Fools Ferguson, Human Colonies, Citrus Clouds, Soft Lashes, Manorlady, Cherry Crush, Monster Movie, Sadfields, The Churchill Garden and Walking Misery. As usual, more music than time.

New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOSAndroid and Blackberry. Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed: we’re live-scrobbling via our last.fm profile, and live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

Don’t try to program when you’re sick. You’ll end up with plaintive, mopey, dreamwashy tunes perfect for self-pity. Having said that, if they’re any good, you should play them on the radio! But we’re not wallowing here, noooo… We’re packed to the gills with new and freshly acquired tunes, from the likes of Stumbleine, Twin Oaks, Tibican, Black Static Line, Dead Horse One, The Spirit of the Beehive (recently reviewed here), TuT, Oeil, Night Fields, Presents for Sally, Noise, City of Me, Blackpool Astronomy, Bastos, The Foreign Resort, Flower Boy, and Portlands’s most impressive Visiting Diplomats. Plus we’re going all in with the new Glish album, and glad to finally have it in hand!

Don’t forget our most recent jewels from The Cherry Wave, La Casa al Mare, Soft Wounds, VVHILE, The Hours, Mama’s Boys, 溶けない名前(tokenai namae), I, Us, & We, Blonde Tongues, The Starlight Run, Dead Sea, The Past is Another Planet, Spotlight Kid, Echodrone, Youth In Bloom, The Yellow Traffic Light and much more. So many great songs, so little time…

Too sick for a tagline.
