New Tracks Weekend, August 14-16

Written by on August 14, 2020

We’re loaded down with fresh and fabulous sounds this weekend. Headliners include Moscow’s Джуна (Dzhuna, pictured above), and SoCal’s Davy Drones, whose new album Crash is more than just homage to classic noisegaze artists like APTBS and Spectres, but takes the lessons learned and builds anew from their foundations. But there’s so much more: new music from Single Lash, poolshop, No Joy, Teenage Wrist, Memory Mask, ultrviolence, Spunsugar, EWAH & The Vision of Paradise, Ex Girls, Telever, House of Harm, Fowl Science, Narrow Head, Double Grave, Lowfaith, Gum Country, Yeah Baby, Personal Space, The Ophelias, Archie Sagers, Ed Davis Project and MUCH more. We’re tweaking and tuning right up to airtime, so that your weekend is fully covered.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including 17歳とベルリンの壁 (Seventeen Years Old And Berlin Wall), Beladrone, Iress, Agent blå, Mount Murai, Seaside, Rosewilder, Sleepy, The Dead and the Downright Queer, flowerbomb, Audiobaton, mon cher, Heavytrip, Ten Million Lights, Vicious Blossom, Your Wealth, Trauma Ray and more. We’re socially distanced, and ready to shine.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
