New Tracks Weekend, August 17-19

Mercury is in Gatorade, so of course we’re beset by technical errors, both broadcast and website. Because, shoegaze is torture. At least it is for us, this week, as we try to professionally present it. Okay, professionally may be too strong a word… long story short, rebuilt key components of the website to restore speed, and ended up destroying our existing website URLs/hierarchy. So we’re recovering from that, and plenty more. On the plus side, we’re blessed with an abundance of impressive new tunes.
We’re pushing the latest and greatest from Peel Dream Magazine (out soon on Slumberland Records), The Raft, Geowulf, drop like stars, The Dunes, Sobrenadar, Memory Leak, Our Girl, Glare, Still Corners, No Swoon, Single Lash, OH LA KANADA, Sunbather, Fawns of Love (look for their Part Time Punks Session to release next week!), Annabel Allum, Stardazer, Twin Studies, Sharesprings, Underground Youth, In Drift, Melody’s Echo Chamber, In This Mode, and much more. Plus we’re teasing out key tracks from the new compilation You’re Still in a Dream II, an outstanding companion to the original release.
That’s not to overlook last weekend’s fresh additions, including Parrot Dream, Honey Lung, Kill The Moose, Powder Room, Ohio Mark, Start Together, 12 Decembers, Glace, All Sparks Burn Out, Breathe Panel, Todavia, Say Sue Me, Death of Heather, Voyage in Solitude, Nocheósfera and so so much more.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account, and we’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
Check out the brand new updated DKFM apps for iOS and Android here!

Video Premiere: Cathedral Bells – Homebody

If you're familiar with the brilliant Dear Tracks, if you fondly recall Houseplants (who took a star turn at Kalamashoegazer XI last year), you are well aware of the collected works of Matthew Messore. Driving creative force behind both Michigan-based projects, Matt has been shaping and polishing his sonic vision for years now. Transplanted back to his native Florida, we weren't terribly surprised he'd get back to work promptly on shaping […]
