New Tracks Weekend, August 28-30

Written by on August 28, 2020

Adding both volume and quality to your weekend, we’re loading up on fresh releases from Soot Sprite (pictured above), Aire Espacial, Widowspeak, Moon Pics, Narrow Head, Indigos, ultrviolence, did you die, Lavender Blush, Yndling, Andy Bell… and those are just the headliners. We’re deep into fresh recordings from Melenas, Just Mustard, Owl’s Clover, Wood Lake, Kodiak Galaxy, Strangers in My House, Dirty Sidewalks, Seatemples, Bright Falls, HIGH/LOW, Suburban Living, Emperor of Ice Cream, and so much more. Keeping track of all the fresh submissions is a job in itself, so imagine switching web servers for this site, while simultaneously rebooting remote broadcast server and monitoring stability, while reviewing all the new submissions from today, much less the past week… yes, we’re doing three things at once. It’s a day that ends in ‘y’.

All this is in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including A Shoreline Dream, Ten Million Lights, No Joy, Default, Occult X, Slow Planet, AMMO, Sleep Overload, Flowerbed, Heavytrip, El Club Audiovisual, Only Sibling, Pillow Queens, Macajey, Jupiter Sprites, Heavy Sigh, CASTLEBEAT, Family Mart, Ian Sweet, BLOOD PICK ME, On Autopilot, The Proctors, Vox Celeste, The Ocean Greys, The Rûah and a boatload more. Leaning in we are.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

Gazey gear for shut ins: get your mugs, shirts, hats and more here!
