If we’re tardy, it’s because we have much to sort and rank for rotation weighting. But we’re buckled in, ready to roll! We’re deep into the recent album release from Radio Supernova (pictured above), a powerhouse band that’s got a distinctive sound and personality, but one you’ll return to again and again. We were a little late to this talented Finns, but we won’t make that mistake again. We’re also thrilled to unwrap fresh treats from Distressor, VIM, Inbetween Movies, Galaxina, Pure Hex (full debut EP is out now!), Darksoft (premiere, no less!), Citrus Clouds (premiered here), Intermere, Guilty Giraffe, slush, The Howling Fog, Give Up to Failure and much more. Tardy, yes, but well prepared to entertain.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Asimov, Dead Horse One, Flyying Colours, Blisstonia, Majestic Horses, Miners, Sore Eyelids, bokunofune, Meadowlake, Twin Limb, Inkraktare, Trillion, Stellarscope, Vlimmer, Whimsical, Southwest Hotel, Moon Pics, Sicayda, Fleur du Mal, Human Colonies, Honeymoan, Flyingpool, Day Disguise, Holy Springs, Fake Luxury, Beach Scvm and more. I think we’ve got this!

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

Streaming Premiere: Citrus Clouds “A Pastel Sky”

Regular listeners to DKFM will know about Phoenix, Arizona's sonic standouts Citrus Clouds. They first planted a flag in our consciousness with the woozy, anthemic single, "In Time I Am", later the cornerstone an EP of the same name. Slowly unfolding, layer by layer, it launched with an undeniable shoegaze guitar hook, leading into plaintive vocals. Male/female voices join in tandem in the chorus, and then the third gear breakdown […]
