New Tracks Weekend, January 1-3

Written by on January 1, 2021

We made it! We survived the clusterbomb that was 2020. That alone is cause for celebration, and celebrate we shall. This weekend’s star cast includes standouts Polar Lows (pictured above), The Florist, Glia, The Meeting Places, Vicious Blossom, Seven Hour Days, Aire Espacial, Starry Eyed Cadet, Yeah Baby, 93millionmilesfromthesun, Mint Julep, Sun Shines Cold, Sunflares, R. Missing, the mellowdees, a classic reissue from Megumi Acorda and much more. Great music takes no holiday, and neither do we.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including The Stargazer Lilies, Martes Niebla, Rosehip Teahouse, Heligioland, Life on Venus, Day Aches, SPOOL, The Dreamtoday, Pure Mids, Quarter-Life Crisis, Night Tapes, moon cowboy, Sleepy Gonzales, Cozy Catastrophe, Blood Pick Me, Cinthya Hussey, did you die, Beach Towels, Typical Girls, Sugardrop, The Churchhill Garden, Timelost, Yellow Dudes, エイプリルブルー (April Blue), The Galahads, Stellarscope, Trophy Grief, Blood Pick Me and a whole boatload more. Let’s ring in a new and hopefully happier year.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

They’re new, they’re hot: DKFM face masks are available for a limited time here!
More merch options available in the DKFM Gear Shop, if you didn’t get what you really wanted this holiday.
