More packed than expected… we’ve got a lot to celebrate, fresh releases, just a few from the cusp of 2022 to 2023, and (for good measure), our headliner is from 2021. But we weren’t “plugged in”, so we’re as behind as most folks. But thanks to regular listener John Emslie, we’re gonna celebrate glitterspitter as first among equals. While we have no idea how this slipped under the radar of so many, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to ensure the world is paying attention. The album Summer Under Skin borrows gently from classic artists like Innocence Mission and Sundays, but is never not uniquely their own. So we’ll be leaning in hard on that release, to see if we can’t win this winning squad some converts. But we’re also celebrating new sounds from Catharsis, Lavndear, crushed, As Above, Megumi Acorda, The Ends, Waves Crashing, The Starlit Hues, Juke The Tiger, Tape Runs Out, Keep, Stomp Talk Modstone, The Silent Era, Oceans and more. We’ll round out the presentation with new releases from Un.Real, Kaery Ann, Vicegrip, M83, OutControlJoys, Fauvely, Seven Hour Days, Found Space, Redbud, baan, CHIVVY, and some choice cuts from the new Darksoft album.
