What we lack in sheer quantity, we make up for in superior quality this weekend. The vast majority of tracks added to weekend rotation this weekend are also graduated to “hot rotation”, as there’s nothing less than excellence on offer this weekend. Our headliners include Reveries, who’ve just broken the shoegaze internet by signing to Cardigan Records, and releasing their haziest single to date in “Lost Words“. They’ve been teasing something special for weeks on their Twitter feed, now Reveries makes good on their promise. We’re also celebrating the debut release from Philippines‘ Polar Lows (pictured above). We got a world broadcast premiere last weekend, now we’ll enchant you with the rest of their Hereafter EP. But so much more new music available just today: Pencey Sloe teases their forthcoming LP, Juliper Sky impresses with their breezy debut single, Luster wakes from their slumber with new sounds, and Ether Feels returns with an instantly engaging new tune. We’re spinning up impressive new music from China’s 2D Foil, plus Dovi, Crooked Ghost, Brilliant Beast, Japanese Heart Software, Russian Baths, plainbow, Fallow Land, and a fresh remaster of a classic from Magnet School that’ll bend your earwidgets. We’re PACKED.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including The Ocean Blue, Tennis System, Dottie and Fern Murphy, Jay Som, Primitive Heart, Miriam Clancy, Slowcoaching, BELAU, An Ocean of Embers, fuvk, Sugar Violets, HIGH/LOW, Gazed, Haunter, Modern Time Machines, Overly Polite Tornadoes, Parrot Dream, Quantum Dot, Pour Over, Silver Bars, The Microdance, Sleepspent, The Dead Sound, Sustains, and so so so much more. All weekend, loaded for sparkle.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
