So much to share for New Tracks Weekend. We’ve got hands on the new single from Belgium’s Slow Crush (pictured above), which got us all bendy at the knees. For those wondering if there would ever be a follow-up to last May’s Ease EP? The forthcoming Aurora LP is set to prove dominant in this category, if the title track is any indication. Preordering now, releases 28 August on Holy Roar, and likely to start “Best of 2018” conversations early. We’ve got a sneak preview of the upcoming release from Outward, which ladles generous helpings of fuzz over emo vocals, for a tasty sonic cocktail. The new album from Sobs is finally released, and we’ll go deep. Plus we’re keen to share new music from Rangers, whose new LP Late Electrics  just unleashed from Doom Trip Records. There be sonic jewels here. Why Bonnie’s Nightgown EP is finally available, plus new music from Orchin, Poppel, Our Girl, Murmure, No Suits in Miami, Your Gaze, Film School, El Glum, draag, Death Bells, Blist Her, Dentist, Poptone, The Perfect Kiss, and TBTCI’s tribute to Asian shoegaze and dream pop. So so much new music worth your time.
And that’s in addition to last week’s freshness from Daydream Cathedral, Verdigrls, Movie Brain, The Surrounded, Nylon Smile, flirting, Corasandel, The Visceral Pleasure, Linda Guilala, Lunar Landscape, Popdata, Super Thirty-One, Echolust, and the Resistance Compilation featuring brand new material from the likes of Highspire, Tears Run Rings, Pia Fraus and more, with all proceeds on the release donated to charitable causes.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account, and we’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
