New Tracks Weekend, March 26-28
Written by admin on March 26, 2021
Well dang! There’s enough sonic gold to recommend this weekend, we’ll do what can to cram it all in. From NewDad (pictured above), doing it like they’ve been at it for a decade, mastering the tones, the curves, the textures, to the freshest sounds from XO, beabadoobee, Beachy Head, Tennis System, The Joy Formidable, Winter… we’re all packed in. We’re also spooling in fresh and surprising sounds from New Canyons, Lunarette, JAIALAI, Tombstones in Their Eyes, Grids and Dots, Elephant, Penfriend, Sarakiniko, Greg Cameo, maheekats, Holy Vision, Bludhood, Hayien, Crux of Faith, Wynona Dryver, Hause Plants, Bachelor, The Francine Odysseys, and Ari, Swollip. Up-to-the-second rotation weights, trying to sift the purest sonic gold for your entertainment… that’s the job. And we love it.
And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Submotile, Sunspire, New Candys, Lightning Bug, Mint Julep, Sloe Noon, Gaadge, Velvet Sunset, Bad Visuals, Swallow the Rat, Maida Rose, Clone, Magic Wands, Lovecraft in Tokyo, Genders, seabirth, Corvus and the Morning Star, The Pleasure Holes, No Suits in Miami, VVOLVES, Tearjerker, Rajada, Phantom Wave, Nightjacket, Oceans, Vallens, Мерцание and much more. We’ll keep you in quality company.
New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Icecast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
