New Tracks Weekend, November 20-22
Written by admin on November 20, 2020
YIKES. It’s not as though we weren’t working hard to “mine” the freshest tracks last weekend, and got overloaded with fresh content. Then this weekend we got twice the workload for review and inclusion. Double. Kid you not. So, although late, let’s run down our weekend airplay roster, that you may follow along! We’re “long” on several new albums, freshly released, including Choux (pictured above), whose early promise is fully vindicated by the full length. We’re also long on the new albums from Billow, Lavender Blush, High/Low, Soft Kill, Meadowlake, Flavor Crystals, applewhite, Foot, and more. Standout singles and EPs represent: we’re trotting out some sparklers from halçyon days, Ohio Mark, JEN, Daydream Deathray, Resplandor, Color of Light, PEEL, Tarda, Clustersun, The Ocean Boy, Planet Loser, Wildfires, Echo Upstairs, Blist Her, Sleep Overload, The Berries, Chipped Tooth, Manon meurt, and sooooo much more. Had to finally “call it”, as broadcast is launched and underway.
And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Schonwald, undone, Sea Salt, jesu, Sadness, Fake Eyes, DIIV, Babel Map, CURSETHEKNIFE, Sicayda, Aeroplane Mode, Beach Vacation, New Canyons, Boy With Apple, CIEL, Blood Pick Me, Bathe Alone, Stay To Sleep, Hey Elbow, Magic Wands, The Churchhill Garden, Plio̱cene, Tidal Peak, Pale Shade, Her New Knife, Magic Cobra, Observer, llawgne, Lass, hero no hero, Color Crush, Just Like Honey, One Morning in August, Separable, and a classic reissue from TONGUE. When we say over-packed, we’re jumping up and down on the digital suitcase containing all the new music. So let’s go!
New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
