New Tracks Weekend, November 6-8
Written by admin on November 6, 2020
“Why are you so late?” you cried, and it’s a fair question. But it’s Bandcamp fee-free Friday, so of course we were tasked with culling hundreds of new tracks and release notifications in a few short hours. And we’re as up-to-date as we can be. We’re spinning up the newest releases from Bloody Knives, There’s Talk, Crystal Canyon (new album teaser at that!), the return of the mighty Vibragun (pictured above, photo courtesy Chris Schanz Photo), LPs from The Luxembourg Signal, Tomates en Verano, etti-etta, the benefit album Save The LoFi Seattle (packed with PNW talent) and more. Singles and EP standouts from Wynona Bleach, Magazines, Youth Valley, Sunstack Jones, Rilev, Stomp Talk Modstone, Flaural, Diving Bells, Still Corners, Black Books, Stephen’s Shore, Death of Heather, Shoe Shine Six, Holy Drone, Sacanada Lake, Dummy, Monad, Night Tapes, RAINSTEAM&SPEED, Nax and so much more. And that’s not to mention a world premiere track from Blindfold of the Empire, introduced by DJ Deborah. So much new material, we just packed a whole paragraph.
And that’s in addition to last weekend’s sonic injections, including Nothing, Holy Motors, Sea Fuzz, Terry vs. Tori, Supercrush, Swimming Tapes, Powder Pink & Sweet, Good Morning TV, Spirit System, Tuath, Skies of Ember, Winter Sun, Topographies, Old Soul Dies Young, The Mudd, FOG, The Blue Herons, Ten Katestraat, Talking Violet, Seventeen Years, Rinse (featuring Hatchie), Seaside, R.A.Downie, Pluto Is A Planet, MYNTH, Perpetual Void, Heavydive, Group Photos, Fleur Du Mal, Dogbar Cinema, Closed Tear, Boy With Apple, Tender Tones, Blurry, Emperor of Ice Cream, Denise Le Menice, and more. Somehow, in the eye of the storm, we’ve got this.
New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
