New Tracks Weekend, October 16-18

Written by on October 16, 2020

We’ll take the chaos of new releases and sort them, prioritize them for your consumption. It’s a job, it’s a hobby, it’s a joy. We’re spinning up freshness from the likes of Previous Love, Family Mart, Geography of the Moon, beabadoobee, dirishu6, So Many Lines, Dream Suicides, Космос на потолке, Still Dreams, Soft Blue Shimmer (new 2020 lineup pictured above), gong wah, Brief Candles, Dreams of Empire, Soft Kill, Sugar World, Torrey, Supercrush, Tired Up, Cor de Lux, Intentions and more. That Soft Blue Shimmer has a full LP “in the can” as it were, came as a surprise to us, but the lead single suggests this new lineup has the skills to keep the imprint flying high.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including Slow Pulp, Hundredth, Alexia Avina, Deradoorian, MILLY, Daydream Cathedral, Was A Wolf, Secrets of the Third Planet, Pillow Queens, Habitants, Draag, Macajey, Total Rubbish, Necromoon, Crux of Faith, Cruisers, Ian Sweet, Céus de Abril, The Mudd, happyvoid, atmos bloom, Luce Cargo, The Foxfires and so much more. We’ll try to touch on everything that matters, no guarantees we won’t miss a crucial track or two. Such is life.

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

They’re new, they’re hot: DKFM face masks are available for a limited time here!
More merch options available in the DKFM Gear Shop, just in time for holiday shopping.
