New Tracks Weekend, October 19-21

Written by on October 20, 2018

If we’re late, it’s not a shock. So much new music this week, compiling and recompiling playlists for your consideration should come as no surprise. From the return of station favorites Balms, Contrast and Indoor Voices, to fresh gems from Kero Kero Bonito, Lilac Melt, Manon meurt, Chasms, Darksoft, Did You Die… we’re well overbooked. The new single from The Churchill Garden (featuring Demi Haynes of Seashine) is a right stunner, the surprise drop from Ioanna Gika (of I.O. Echo) charms on multiple levels, plus we’re pushing the new gem from Pure Ghost, which only continues their run of tuneful successes. We’re pushing the new Ohio Mark (from Belgium, no less), todavia, Funerals, Jet Black, Petal Head, and we introduce you to Lucilla In the Music Box. Because we can’t leave well enough alone, we’re also pushing the two recent compilations from TBTCI Records, who are celebrating the works of Moose and Smashing Pumpkins. Yup, we’re overbooked, but blissfully so.
But that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh treasures, including COSme, The Whip Hand, Featherfin, The KVB, Misty Coast, The Suncharms, Sadness, Hollow Sunshine, Fiasco, Haiku Garden, Drowsy, Echo Ladies, Colourway, BYSTS, Belle Mare, The BVs, Anemone, Amber Arcades and a whole bunch more.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account, and we’re live-scrobbling once again via Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
