New Tracks Weekend, October 26-28

Written by on October 27, 2018

So much fresh this weekend, so many headliner-worthy releases. Along with the new single from Blushing, we’re repping the amazing new album from The Alisons (pictured above). This Kingston, Ontario three-piece is making a joyous noise that simply demands your attention. We’ve finally got hands on the new Single Lash LP, released today on Holodeck Records, with more creative choices per track than most new releases. New Miserable album, Loverboy, dropped today, and if you’re familiar with her collected output, it fits like a warm Snuggie. There’s a twisty metaphor if ever there was one. The new Haiku Garden is a fulfillment of early promise. New music from Cathedral Bells, The Black Planes, Astragal, Pealds, Chloral, dottie, Earache, Gliss, Violet, Hussy, Middle Management, Moaning Lisa, SASAMI, Shana Falana, Sleeping In, Soot Sprite, Ursula Points, Verano del 83 round out the proceedings. Plus, we’ve finally got hands ’round a single from Kalamashoegazer stars Seashine, and we’ll be bumping that for two weeks, as we look forward to the festivities. Missed our Kalamashoegazer special? Check it here!
And all that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh treats, including Balms, Contrast, Indoor Voices, Kero Kero Bonito, Lilac Melt, Manon meurt, Chasms, Darksoft, Did You Die, The Churchill Garden, Ioanna Gika, Pure Ghost, Ohio Mark, todavia, Funerals, Jet Black, Petal Head, and Lucilla In the Music Box. We’re packed out.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account, and we’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
Check out the brand new updated DKFM apps for iOS and Android here!
