New Tracks Weekend, October 30 – November 1
Written by admin on October 30, 2020
OVERPACKED. We’ve got so much new, and a limited time to shine (even though it’s all weekend). Our largest haul of quality new music in recent memory, and we’ll spool out the sparkle. Headliners: Nothing. The album we’d previewed here is everything that our reviewer said it was, and more. But there’s so much more than just Nothing, and we’ve got it all batched and sorted. New albums from Holy Motors, Sea Fuzz, Terry vs. Tori, Supercrush, and the recent LP release from Swimming Tapes are our long-form presentations, rounded out by singles and EPs from some stellar performers: Powder Pink & Sweet (pictured above) lead the parade, followed by Good Morning TV, Spirit System, Tuath, Skies of Ember, Winter Sun, Topographies, Old Soul Dies Young, The Mudd, FOG, The Blue Herons, Ten Katestraat, Talking Violet, Seventeen Years, Rinse (featuring Hatchie), Seaside, R.A.Downie, Sacanada Lake, Pluto Is A Planet, MYNTH, Perpetual Void, Heavydive, Group Photos, Fleur Du Mal, Dogbar Cinema, Closed Tear, Boy With Apple, Tender Tones, Blurry, Emperor of Ice Cream, Denise Le Menice, and more that I can’t even remember right now. And that’s just the newest material.
And that’s not to mention last week’s fresh treats, including STAR, Himmelrum, Juliper Sky, Choux, urbanation, Is Modest, kinoue64, Dasha & Seryozha, Become The Sky, Megumi Acorda, Pure Bathing Culture, M281, Elephants and Dogs, Lyndsie Alguire, and so much more.
New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via last.fm. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
