More new than usual. Took multiple working days to compile this cornucopia of sound. Would tell you there’s at least 33% more new tracks added just this weekend than usual, even rivaling a Bandcamp Friday-style release roster. Didn’t see it coming, not gonna complain. We’re celebrating the grand return of Softsurf (pictured above), with their first release in ages. Worth the wait? We’d contend it is. We celebrate the new LP from Moaning Lisa, with a full range of dreamy alternative textures. We’re ridiculously impressed with the new release from Fort Collins, Colorado’s Roseville, seemingly cross between Pity Sex impact and Gleemer intimacy. We’d suggest you’ll hear a lot more from them on our air. We’re lucky to get hands on the new release from Adelaide’s Visitors/Ephemerons, which is a heady post-punk concoction with shoegaze textures, and plenty of twists and turns. We’re deep into new and recent releases from Grivo, Bleed, The Sugar Petals, GRAZER, Luster Dust, Magnus Josefsson, Startographers, Wynona Bleach, Timelost, Softcult, Nax, The KVB, Parannoul, Seven Hour Days, Orton, Nothing, Under The Sun, MAYU, Jesse D’Kora, Humdrum, Marlin’s Dreaming, Japanese Heart Software, Lunar Isles, Margot, Flu Flu, ETHICA, Captive Frame, fleshwater, cathedral bells, Separable (feat. Color Crush), DETECTS, Asian Glow, sonhos tomam conta, All Eyes and much more. Dang that was a long paragraph.

And that’s in addition to last weekend’s fresh sonic injections, including WINKIE, 宇宙ネコ子 (Uchu Nekoko), Seatemples, Космос на потолке, EEP, Day & Dream, Last Tourist, Heathermint, Stomp Talk Modstone, Punchlove, LANNDS, Heathermint, El Glum, Nylon Smile, Alex E.T., Midsommar, Parrot Dream, Sonoda, Trophy Grief, Sun Bruised, Tiles, Syupeo Jenjang, The Kundalini Genie, увула and so much more. We’re simply overbooked, and everything must go!

New Tracks Weekend is launched at 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continues through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM, on Icecast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Limited beta: we’re now up on Mixcloud Live, website AND app, if that’s a thing you’d dig. Plus we have our branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! We’re live-scrobbling once again via Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support.

Ready to venture out in public again? Check the DKFM Gear Shop for great casualwear and accessories, and support DKFM at the same time… WIN/WIN!

New Tracks Weekend

New Tracks Weekend, October 1-3, 2021

Bandcamp Friday usually means double the work. And that's okay. When there's so much new music in our chosen genres, it's up to us to ensure you hear the best that's on offer. And that's a job we love. Among this weekend's featured performers: WINKIE... it's been awhile, and while they don't always hew directly to our sonic footprint, this Brooklyn noise duo always brings the dark side of the […]
