New Tracks Weekend, September 14-16

Written by on September 15, 2018

Are we overbooked? Of course we are. New Tracks Weekend this weekend features the freshest and brightest from the scene, domestically and around the world. We’ve even got a broadcast premiere or three. We’re bumping the new album from Trench (pictured), which should grab your attention immediately: epic, bendy, swoopy. And, no, we’ve never used the term swoopy in “print” before. So there’s that. New Mainlight EP is all you could hope for, building on previous successes, and extending the sound further. We’ve got fresh tunes from Holy Ship, Corasandel and Wildhoney, plus Holy Forrest, Film School, The Sweetest Touch, Subsonic Eye, Holygram, Amethyst Blvd, Holy Fawn, Belle Mare, Surf Rock is Dead, Did You Die, Emma Ruth Rundle, bleak, Stardazer, Sicayda and more. Surely we’ve forgotten a thing or several.
And that’s in addition to last weekend’s wheelbarrow-full of new music, including The Daysleepers’ sparkling new Creation LP, plus XTR HUMAN, Caelum, Grivo, My Ultra Violet, Corridor, Hero Fisher, Men I Trust, Ghost Thoughts, Lake Ruth, Anemone, Contact, Palm Haze, Pastel Ghost (new album soon!), Shadow Age, Peppermint Showers, dottie, Softer Still, Lights That Change, The Underground Youth, Blurry Mountain, Gold Muse, Nax, Lo! Peninsula, Tears Run Rings, Barrie, Car Crash Sisters, Endless White, Art Dave, Submotile, Angel Aura and so so so much more.
New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Remember, you can listen listen via the station playlist page at DKFM,  on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our NEW branded apps for Apple’s iOS and Android: listeners can vote on all the new tracks, helping us determine what graduates to permanent rotation. Your voice counts! Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed, as we’re live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account, and we’re live-scrobbling once again via Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed. Keep up with our new Facebook group for some real-time discussions of what you’ve heard, and sound off!
And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!
