Update: we’ve posted the aired program to Mixcloud, now available on demand. Listen in here.

Late? Of course we are! Too many headliners. Perfect triple crown: Sunflower Bean, Airiel and A*Star. We’d been waiting for new music from all three, and we’ve finally got our wish. But we don’t stop there! Amazing new music from Rayning (long overdue), Evvolves, Wintermilk, The Psalms, Bummed (we’ve preached the virtues of their amazing sound on our Facespace page), Water Spaniel, Lobby Boys, Fields, Maths and the Moon, Dead White Tulips, Panda Panda,

Moon Loves Honey, Nite Fields (unreleased premiere, on U.S. tour now), Mosley Bar, HEADS, and some deep lo-fi goodness from Backtraveller you’ve heard nowhere else! Dog didn’t eat our homework, there was just so much to pack in!

That’s not to neglect last week’s new additions, including Jaguwar, Ask For Joy, Stella Diana (new LP soon!), Leave The Planet, The Star Charts, Glaciers, New Age Healers, Sea of Tranquility, Gypsy & The Cat, Tender Age, Alter, and Whalo. A lot, muchly, very muchly.

New Tracks Weekend kicks off 8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Listen via the Radionomy station page at DKFM, on Shoutcast, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Plus we have our new branded apps for Apple’s iOS, Android and Blackberry. Or load up the “Internet Radio” tab of your iTunes desktop client, and you’ll find DKFM Shoegaze Radio under ‘Alternative’. You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed: we’re live-scrobbling via our last.fm profile, and live-tweeting every track on our sub-Twitter DKFMTracks account. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed.

And, as always, thanks for listening, and thank you for your support!

Our Bandcamp track of the week this week is Savage Sister’s “Pale Surrender”, the first single from their upcoming second LP Speechless on BLVD Records. It’s a shimmering sonic strike, somewhat reminiscent of classic Airiel, and a perfect teaser for the album. Release date not yet set for Speechless, but BLVD Records has signed on to produce vinyl for the band, and the Savage Sister sound should only be enhanced by the warmth of vinyl reproduction.

Bandmaster Michael Tenzer on the album: “The upcoming LP, Speechless, consolidates all of the band’s beloved elements found across the spectrum of dream pop and shoegaze, elements that Savage Sister has been working in since its inception. The album further clarifies this mixture of sound, never content to stay simply one side of the fence or the other.”

All’s we can say is it’s a damn tasty confection that makes us hungry for the rest. If it were cake, we’d be shoveling it in with both hands.

Grab the single “Pale Surrender” from the Savage Sister Bandcamp, and follow them on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
