1. Live On Air Now DKFM Shoegaze Radio

All the new things. Many of them shiny. Mumrunner, Lily of the Valley, Angel Falls, FUTURE (coming soon!), Best Coast, Fever Dream, Mute Swan, 93MillionMilesFromThe Sun, Flyying Colours, Vaadat Charigim, Black Lizard. There’s not much more you need from a weekend.

But we can’t stop, won’t stop. We’re still all about Car Crash Sisters’ new EP, Shana Falana, Cheatahs, Dream Suicides, Kigo, Lights that Change, Casting Circles, White Walls, New Candys, Weed, The California Death, Sonic Jesus and SO much more.

Meantime, while pushing station operations, we’re off to see Surf Club, Jay Som and Them Are Us Too. If you’re not checking out the latest tunes on DKFM, get off your arse and go see a live show! Fill your head with music. It’s an appropriate lifestyle choice.

8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others. Live365 listeners: it’s your votes that count! Your thumbs-up / thumbs down ratings determine what is kept in permanent rotation. Listen via the Live365 station page at DKFM, on iTunes Internet Radio under “Eclectic”, and on TuneIn Radio for iPhone/Android/Windows. Latin America relay: try Radio Terra. And still commercial-free everywhere! You can even keep up with the new tracks and artists you may have missed: we’re live-scrobbling via our last.fm profile. Now you’ll know what you heard, or catch up on what you missed.

Ultimately, do what you love and you’ll love what you do. Thanks for being a part!

Perhaps the most impressive debut this year is Flyying Colours’ “Wavygravy”. Self-assured and masterful, Melbourne, Australia’s Flyying Colours have been kicking around since late 2011, but their first single is pure polished sonic bliss. Don’t take our word for it. Check out the newly-released video to accompany the single.

Not simply content to rest on sound alone, these folks can write catchy, memorable tunes. Visit their website, join their mailing list, and you can get your own download of “Wavygravy” immediately! We frankly expect great things from these folks in the very near future.
