So music. Much clever. Such new. New Tracks Weekend this weekend celebrates the release of Dead Moon from LA’s Blood Candy, out now on Buddyhead Records. You may remember them from the demos we wheedled out of them as they were causing a buzz in the LA scene. Well, they all done growed up! Lightly grimy psych covered in sweet vocal sugar, and we’re off. Grab your own damn copy at Bandcamp. But we’ll be pushing this heavily over the next month, as we do, because theirs is a party you’ll want to attend. But there’s a lot more to celebrate this weekend, including the new track from Chicago’s venerable Savage Sister, teasing their new album due out …someday via BLVD Records. The new No Joy album bends your mind and earlobes, frustrating your efforts to grasp reality and musicality. MORE from the new Star Horse, also previewed here this week, plus Angel Falls, The Poetry Book, Jambox, Seafrost, Cantalouper, Surreal Realm, Blacanova, FPRF, Eternally Dizzy, plus some recent classics from Oyama, and classic classics from Sun Dial. And that’s just the stuff we’re shoveling in this weekend.
We’re celebrating the brilliant new album out this weekend from Aire Espacial, Figuras Cósmicas (we’ll be out in support of their album release party on Saturday). Plus we’re still pushing DEAFCULT, Communions, Eternal Summers, Crimsonettes, Los Hotpants, Cotillon, Someday I Will Miss You, Heavïness and tons more. As we’re still reviewing all the new material we’ve received over the last week, don’t be shocked that we stuff in more as we get closer to deadline. As we do. (Note: just added Jade TV and Sustains)
8 pm Eastern, 5 pm Pacific, and continuing through Sunday at midnight Eastern, 9 Pacific. It’s the first weekend we’ll spin some of these tracks, and may be the last weekend for some others.
